060- Communication is Sexy: 3 Steps for Improving Communication

Host Samantha and co-host Anthony discuss good communication.

There's nothing hotter than good communication. When someone makes you feel validated, seen, and heard, it's sexy. So, why do so many relationships have difficult communication habits?

Well, no matter how it happened, the pair have a few tools to increase your level of communication in all areas of life. Whether you're having a hard time fully accepting how you communicate or you can't seem to understand what someone else is saying, you can approach these situations with radical personal responsibility. What is the truth about your current circumstance, and are you willing to say it out loud? If you've done something wrong, can you stand up to it?

In addition, good communication requires openness. When we get defensive or close down, we aren't open to the possibilities in the lives of the people around us. And being closed leads to poor communication. What could your life look like if you opened yourself up to what another person has to say... and open to the idea that both of you can be right?

Finally, learning to listen is one of the greatest skills any human can develop. Supporting another person in being seen and heard can change the entire game when it comes to communication. The world is transformed by good listening because it turns merely talking into good communication: a two way street where all people participate in creating meaning out of what is said and what is received. Listening is going to involve curiosity... and, it's going to involve ACTION.

Tune in to hear these tips and tricks in picking up your level of communication and transporting it to new heights!
