Sensual Embodiment— This practice of allowing my body to move freely in a fluid & sensual way has been more healing than I ever imagined.
What is it? A somatic movement practices that focuses on a more feminine, sensual, fluid movements. Somatic movement, generally speaking, is performed consciously with the intention of focusing on the internal experience of the movement rather than the external appearance or result of the movement. It's a very inward experience.
As women, we face the brunt of body, s.xual, and religious shaming, which causes so many of us to stuff the part of us who is the temptress, the wild woman, the goddess, insert any other less favored by society female archetype, etc. This is your permission slip to allow her space to surface, to breath, to spread her wings and become fully liberated.
Somatic Healing— Somatic means of the body and, well, I'm sure you know what healing means. So many of us live in a very mind driven world. Our to-do lists and this fast-paced society can keep us stuck in the mind while losing connection to the body, ultimately leaving us stressed out, depressed, anxious, and that's just the start of it.
Somatic healing is about letting the body lead and guide us. To move that stuck, depressed, anxious energy through our bodies so it can be channeled in more productive ways than causing us proverbial (and literal) headaches.
This medicine is something I'm super passionate about— check out this podcast episode to learn more.
What to Wear— comfortable clothing, yoga or athletic wear that's not tight or restrictive. Bring something you feel sexy in for the boudoir portion.
We can't wait to see you there!
